Nurses know how health care policy shapes lives, they experience it first-hand every day.
The American Nurses Association is launching the Nurses Action Society to empower members to take their advocacy to the next level. The Nurses Action Society (NAS) will leverage nurses’ perspectives and relationships with lawmakers to educate Congress on the issues facing the nursing profession and their patients.
This group of influential nurses will be willing to:
- build and/or maintain relationships with Members of Congress,
- stay informed on the issues, and
- set aside their personal politics to represent nursing priorities and ANA on Capitol Hill and beyond.
As an Nurses Action Society Ambassador, you will be able to access exclusive opportunities such as:
- NAS content, educational sessions, webinars,
- Advocate with other Nurses Action Society Ambassadors to impact policy outcomes at the federal level,
- NAS-only networking and social events, and
- Serve as a leader within the nursing community.
