Lou Bartolo

Lou is a leader in healthcare quality specifically stem cell transplant and cellular immunotherapy.  He serves on several committees at MedStar Georgetown University focusing on quality, safety, and advocacy.  Lou is the Northeast Membership Chair for the American Association for Men in Nursing and was co-founder of the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing chapter.  His leadership continues with his most recent appointment by Dr. Ernest Grant to the American Nurses Association Political Action Campaign Board of Trustees.  Lou was nominated to the Johns Hopkins Alumni Council, the governing body of the Johns Hopkins University Alumni Association for his dedication and continued support of the university.  He is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society, American Organization for Nursing Leadership, National Association for Healthcare Quality, and continues his support of the National Student Nurses' Association as a Sustaining Member.

Lou will complete his doctorate degree in nursing from Loyola University New Orleans in 2022.  He received his MSN from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, MS in Health Promotion from Northwestern State University of Louisiana, and BS in Business Administration from Our lady of Holy Cross College in New Orleans, LA. Lou is part of the Sigma Theta Tau, Phi Kappa Phi, and Beta Beta Beta Honor Societies.

The Johns Hopkins University has awarded Lou with the Outstanding Recent Graduate Award (nominated by the Dean of the School of Nursing), Alumni Caring Ring, Robert G. Merrick Award for Leadership in Nursing, and the School of Nursing Shining Star Award.
